Embrace Life!

How many times did you tell your children to not worry about anything and just enjoy life? If you are like me, you said that many times over the years. What about you? Do you enjoy life? Are you enjoying your life as it is today? It is important that whatever season of life you are in, that you enjoy and make it the best…right now….today! Sometimes, we can get in the habit of always looking forward to something that we miss out on the NOW. An example for me would be that I am anxiously awaiting the return of…
Making A Full House A Home For Two!

I’m so excited to be participating in the #write31days for the month of October. I had so many different ideas for what I wanted to write on this month and I settled on focusing in on the season of life that I am in right now, which is the “empty nest” season. I’ve talked to some people who do not like the term, empty nest. I actually did some research on possible ways to word it different. I wasn’t able to find anything that sounded right. Are you getting ready to transition your closet for the new season? I’m so excited to share with you a new online video course by my friend, Shari Braendel. But first, let’s talk about Shari’s new…

I was getting ready to attend a ladies Bible study at our church. I turned the news on to listen as I was getting ready. I passed by the television just in time to see the first plane fly into one of the Twin Towers in New York City. I sat down and watched and felt such pain for the people that were in…

Hi Friends! I’m doing some “housekeeping” on my blog today. A few updates and a few changes are always needed. To all the readers of, His Heart, My Desire……THANK YOU! I so love to hear feed back and my heart skips a beat when I get a message or a comment that something resonated with them in what I wrote. If you haven’t noticed, I seem to LOVE everything. Especially, if it sparkles! I’m an avid magazine reader and I like to think of my blog as an uplifting, inspiring and encouraging magazine. The Lord has shown me many things…
A Heart For Homeschool Moms

The bell has rung and school has started! For some, you are waiting until the day after Labor Day. When I was a homeschool mom, we would begin our studies the day after Labor Day. For the month of September, I will be posting on the subject of homeschooling. Whether you are a seasoned homeschooler, just beginning, just curious or you would like to be an encourager to a homeschool family, this is the place for you. First of all, congratulations, Mom and Dad for deciding to take on such an endeavor to educate your own children. You are in…
